Now accepting applications for AMAA Summer Internship to Armenia
Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ!
It is my pleasure to announce the 2017 AMAA Summer Internship to Armenia from Monday, July 17th – Monday, July 31st. This annual program gathers young men and women from our local church communities to embark on a journey that will impact them for years to come. The aim of this internship is to expose individuals of the Armenian Evangelical diaspora to the important Christian ministry the AMAA is doing in our homeland. It extends the opportunity for participants to serve God through the AMAA and embrace the rich cultural heritage of their people. Interns will be working alongside churches and ministries supported by the AMAA to experience the work God is doing for His Kingdom there in Armenia. Interns will also have the opportunity to visit key cultural sites.
The primary cost to participate in the program is the cost of travel, which based on data from previous years estimates at around $1,400-$1,600 for those traveling from North America. This cost may be significantly lower for individuals flying from the Middle East. Once accepted, the intern is responsible to fundraise the money required for their travel expenses (Passport fees, airfare, pocket money etc.). Once in Armenia, the AMAA will cover the local expenses (Meals, housing, transportation etc.)
The program is open to a wide range of young adults; the AMAA will consider applicants entering their Senior year of High School all the way through Post-College (mid-20’s). There are 20 internship slots available and the applications are considered on a first come first serve basis. Only applications received on or before April 1, 2017 will be considered for the internship.
As the leader of this years AMAA Summer Internship, I am asking you to help identify young adults who might be interested in applying to this year’s internship program. We are seeking mature individuals with a vibrant Christian faith and a genuine desire to participate in the work of God’s Kingdom. This would be a particularly valuable experience for individuals in your church community who may be considering future work in the missionary field. I encourage you to share these details with your local church and to begin to announce the program in your regular publications.
Promotional materials will soon follow with applications for distribution. For inquiries, feel free to contact Rev. Jeremy Tovmassian at email@example.com or at (847) 758-7188.
Peace and Love,
Rev. Jeremy Tovmassian
