AMAA Shares the Joy of Christmas in Armenia and Artsakh
On January 9 and 10, the AMAA-Armenia and Evangelical Church of Armenia (ECA) jointly presented their Annual Christmas Programs at AMAA’s Yerevan Center on Baghramyan 18. The Program was held in seven sessions, where the AMAA-Armenia’s and ECA’s Hayasa Theatrical group presented the “Road to Home” Play to a capacity filled Audience. Around 2300 children with their parents attended these programs. The play, which was written and directed by Playwright/Director Nune Abrahamyan, gave the message to the audience that if they are filled with love for the people around them, think of others, help the neglected, and believe in the sacred miracle, they will find the way to the heavenly home. “Do your best for all,” “Do not give up when you have the gift to help the needy,” “Give children a Miracle.” Such messages and slogans echoed all over the Hall. Likewise “letters of dreams” were hung on the “Wishing Tree” which was displayed on the stage. The characters of Charles Dickens and Queen Victoria became more influential and credible in the play by younger and older actors, reinforcing the power of faith in our lives.
At the conclusion of each Program the Santa Clause greeted the children and distributed the Christmas Joy packages to all.
The AMAA-Armenia and ECA jointly held 72 other such Christmas programs in more than 45 towns and villages throughout Armenia and Artsakh, with a visit from Santa Clause and distribution of Christmas Joy packages.
