AMAA and the Evangelical Church of Armenia Dedicate New Sanctuary in Dilijan

In 2000, the Evangelical Church of Armenia started its ministry in the region of Dilijan.  The original members of the Church were a small group of believers who met in houses and had Bible studies. Inspired with the knowledge of the Word of God, they became the permanent members of the Dilijan Church.

For many years, church services were held in a small apartment building. The narrow and uncomfortable room did not bother the believers. Instead, it challenged them to pray for a new and spacious sanctuary.

On Sunday, September 28, members of the Evangelical Church of Dilijan, along with guests who were in Armenia for the dual celebrations of the 170th Anniversary of the Armenian Evangelical Church and the 25th anniversary of the Republic Of Armenia, held a special Dedication Service for their new sanctuary. They praised God for answering their prayers and thanked the Armenian Missionary Association of America and the benefactors, Drs. Nazareth and Ani Darakjian and Mrs. Anahis Derian Boolghoorjian, for their generous donations which brought their vision of the new Dilijan Church to realization. Special dedication plaques were unveiled by Drs. Nazareth and Ani Darakjian and Rev. Berdj Djambazian representing Mrs. Anahis Derian Boolghoorjian.
