Artsakh War No More

It has been 3 years since the 44 Day War in Artsakh began on September 27, 2020.
Now 3 years later, we are facing another war. This war is a war to survive, to rebuild, to thrive.
On September 19th, under the pretenses of targeting “anti-terrorist activities”, intense military measures launched by Azerbaijan disguised a calculated next step toward ethnic cleansing and genocide on our brothers and sisters in Artsakh. News of targeted attacks on people and a mass exodus, deepens the dire humanitarian crisis which is evolving every day.
The AMAA is utilizing any facility we have in Armenia to aid all evacuees who were forced to leave our beloved Artsakh.
This effort is being coordinated with the Evangelical Church of Armenia for the use of their facilities.
We have prepared the Nigol Duman Church Hall, where we will have 30 beds ready.
We are renting 5 units near our Yerevan “Shogh” Day Center.
We are going to use the Armavir Church for a 20-member family.
Vanadzor is getting equipped with toilets, showers, and beds for 120 people.
Currently up to 500 packages of food, hygiene items and essential medicines are being prepared by our volunteers to be sent to reception points of AMAA for Artsakh residents.
This is only the beginning, as planning and preparation continues to receive the pouring masses from Artsakh.
We have already received:
- Evangelical Church of Armenia in Goris: 50 people
- AMAA Office in Sisian: 21 people
- Evangelical Church of Armenia in Dilijan: 12 people
- Camp Sheen Shoghig in Hankavan: 100 people and prepared to receive more
- Evangelical Church of Armenia in Vardenis: More coming from the Karvajar route
It is inconceivable that the barbaric aggression and unprovoked attacks on our people, by a country consistently recognized as being high on the list of transgressors who violate human rights remain unpunished.
As the challenges continue to rise, our people remain strong in faith and spirit. The AMAA remains on-call, ready and willing to devise new paths to provide assistance, in any way possible. It is with this in mind, that we are appealing to YOU to heed the call and help us reinforce and augment our resources.
No more victim mentality. It is time for action.
