AMAA’s Artsakh Team Holds Day Camp for Children Under Blockade  

With God’s guidance and protection, the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA) Artsakh team held its annual Summer Day Camp for Children in Stepanakert which is under the blockade. From July 10-21, the Camp was held in two shifts with over 175 children participating in Camp activities.

The Camp was unique this year in every way because it was organized and held in times of distress and need, where even finding bread was difficult. A lack of food, fuel and other necessities confronted the team. With all of these challenges, the team understood and realized that it was necessary to hold the Camp, because the children had great expectations and had no other joy this summer.

As for the team, it was necessary for them to run the Camp this summer as well, even though Artsakh was under blockade. The volunteers also faced a serious issue of not having another opportunity to speak about God to these children. With this approach, the volunteers conducted the Camp from their heart with the Lord’s guidance, and at the end they created a very successful day camp for the children.

The AMAA Artsakh team knew very well that, no matter what, the 2023 Day Camp will go down in the history of the AMAA’s Artsakh branch, as it was a Camp conducted under the most difficult circumstances and crisis.

“The children of Artsakh deserve to enjoy a childhood full of life, laughter, song and dance. And they deserve a loaf of bread and a cup of water like all the children of the world. LIFT THE BLOCKADE ON ARTSAKH,” said Zaven Khanjian, AMAA Executive Director/CEO.  

Ամերիկայի Հայ Ավետարանչական Ընկերակցության Արցախի Թիմը Շրջափակման Մեջ Գտնվող Երեխաների Ցերեկային Ճամբար է Անցկացնում  

Հուլիսի 10-21ը երկու հերթափոխով, Աստծո առաջնորդությամբ, շրջափակված Ստեփանակերտում անցկացրինք մեր ամենամյա Ամերիկայի Հայ Ավետարանչական Ընկերակցության (ԱՀԱԸ) ամառային բակային ճամբարը, որին մասնակցեցին 175 մանուկներ։

Այս ճամբարը յուրահատուկ էր ամեն առումներով, որովհետև այն կազմակերպվեց նեղության և կարիքի օրերի մեջ, որտեղ անգամ հաց գտնելը մեծ դժվարություն էր։ Սննդի, վառելիքի և այլնի պակասը մեզ կանգնեցրին մեծ խնդիրների առջև։ Մենք հասկանում և գիտակցում էինք, որ անհրաժեշտ էր ճամբարն իրականացնել, որովհետև տեղյակ էինք ի՜նչ մեծ սպասումներ ունեին մանուկները. ուրիշ ուրախություն նրանք այս ամառ չունեին։

Մեզ համար շրջափակված Արցախում ճամբար իրականացնելը անհրաժեշտություն էր։

Կամավոր ծառայողական խմբի առջև խնդիր էր դրված` մոտենալ ծառայությանը այն գիտակցումով , որ հնարավոր է այլևս չունենանք նման հնարավորություն՝ վկայելու Աստծո մասին։ Եվ ամեն մեկի մոտեցումից, գործը սրտանց բռնելու ձգտումից և իհարկե, Տիրոջ առաջնորդությամբ մենք ունեցանք այս հաջողված ճամբարը։ Վստահ ենք որ այս 2023թ ճամբարը ԱՀԱԸ-ի Արցախի պատմության մեջ կմտնի որպես ամենադժվար (ճգնաժամային) պայմաններում իրականացված  ճամբար։

«Արցախի երեխաները արժանի են վայելելու կյանքով, ծիծաղով, երգ ու պարով լի մանկություն։ Եվ նրանք արժանի են մի կտոր հացի և մի բաժակ ջրի, ինչպես աշխարհի բոլոր երեխաները: Վերացրե՛ք ԱՐՑԱԽԻ ՇՐՋԱՆԱՓԱԿՈՒՄԸ»,  ասաց ԱՀԱԸ-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Զավեն Խանջյանը:
