Learning for Life… the Khoren and Shooshanig Avedisian School

IMG_0285.jpgLucine Mnatsakanyan “Success is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” This quote has led me since September 2014. This remains a significant date for me because it is the very first time that I entered a school which has changed my life –the Khoren and Shooshanig Avedisian School. During my three years of studies at the Avedisian School, I learned values and principles, which became the foundation for my success.

Right after finishing high school, I gained admittance to the American University of Armenia (AUA). Some months later, at the age of 17, I got my first job and earned my first salary, working at my dream job. During the summer of 2018, I was selected by the US Embassy Yerevan to represent Armenia in the United States of America at different international seminars and conferences. In addition to this experience, I continue volunteering and helping people in need. Along with all of my activities, I have an excellent academic standing at AUA.

For my future, I am planning to continue my education and work for the interest of my country.

When I heard about the American University of Armenia (AUA), I began my research to learn about the admission requirements. I was able to learn that the students who attend are well-educated, required entrance exam scores, voluntarism, etc. The Khoren and Shooshanig Avedisian School inspires me to study and prepare so that I will be able to attend the University of my dreams.

Avedisian School provides its students with many benefits and privileges that other schools do not offer. We are fortunate to have some of the best teachers of the country teach at Avedisian School. The School is not a big one and everyone knows each other. We have friendly staff and teachers, an amazing library, a variety of Clubs and an incredible Principal (Mrs. Melanya Geghamyan) who is one of the best people I know.
I have been a student at the Avedisian School for almost three years, and I can say for sure that people here are friendlier than in my previous School. That is what makes this School so beneficial and special for me. The fact is, Avedisian School is not only giving me the education I need to enter the University, but also involved me in an amazing community of volunteers that help poor families.

Avedisian School is an educational center with lots of opportunities and I love the School, the teachers and the Principal. I praise God for giving me the opportunity to be in the best school that has prepared me to enter the University of my dreams.

Through the kindness and generosity of our donors, the AMAA will continue this most important ministry for Armenia’s new generation.
