1.- El cristianismo llega a Armenia a través de los discípulos Tadeo y Bartolomé. La fé se extiende pese a las persecuciones. El Rey Tiridates III, quien era perseguidor de Gregory el Iluminador, y le recluyó en un foso durante años en Jor Virab. El rey sufre de licantropía, una enfermedad psiquiátrica. Gracias a la insistencia de su hermana, el Rey Tiridates decide pedir ayuda a Gregory. Luego de su curación acepta a Cristo como el Hijo de Dios y Armenia se transforma en la primera nación que acepta oficialmente el cristianismo en el Año 301.

2.- Siglos más tarde, en el año 1846 en el pueblo armenio se alzan voces de religiosos e intelectuales cristianos que enfatizan la necesidad que los creyentes vuelvan a sus raíces bíblicas anunciadas por Jesucristo y los Apóstoles. Muchos reciben la renovación espiritual y la Biblia se constituye como regla de fe y práctica para las Iglesias, creándose la Iglesia Evangélica Armenia cuyo 175º Aniversario festejamos este año.

3.- Desde el año 1915 hasta 1923, el imperio otomano pone en ejecución su plan siniestro, masacrando más de un millón y medio de armenios y muchos otros pueblos cristianos del cercano oriente. Que posteriormente fue llamado el PRIMER GENOCIDIO del SIGLO XX. Los sobrevivientes se dispersaron por todo el mundo, llegando a distintos países y continentes.

4.- Los creyentes evangélicos que arribaron a la Argentina formaron Iglesias con el propósito de mantener su fe, su idioma y sus tradiciones, siendo sal y luz en la tierra para bendecir a todos con el Evangelio de Jesucristo. Desde el año 1929 hasta la actualidad (2022), la Iglesia Evangélica Congregacional Armenia “Santísima Trinidad” de Buenos Aires, continúa firme cumpliendo por 93 años esta misión con el pueblo armenio y la comunidad que nos rodea.

Christianity arrives to Armenia through the disciples Thaddeus and Bartholomew. Faith spreads despite persecution. King Tiridates III, who was a persecutor of Gregory the Illuminator, and confined him in a pit for years in Jor Virab. The king suffers from lycanthropy, a psychiatric illness. Thanks to the insistence of his sister, King Tiridates decides to ask Gregory for help. After healing, he accepts Christ as the Son of God and Armenia becomes the first nation to officially accept Christianity in the year 301.
Centuries later, in the year 1846, the voices of Christian religious and intellectuals were raised among the Armenian people who emphasized the need for believers to return to their biblical roots announced by Jesus Christ and the Apostles. Many receive spiritual renewal and the Bible is established as a rule of faith and practice for the Churches, creating the Armenian Evangelical Church whose 175th Anniversary we celebrate this year.
From the year 1915 to 1923, the Ottoman Empire puts into execution its sinister plan, massacring more than a million and a half Armenians and many other Christian peoples of the Near East. Which was later called the FIRST GENOCIDE of the 20th CENTURY. The survivors dispersed throughout the world, reaching different Countries and Continents.
The evangelical believers who arrived to Argentina formed churches with the purpose of maintaining their faith, their language and their traditions, being salt and light on earth to bless everyone with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From 1929 to the present (2022), the Armenian Congregational Evangelical Church “Holy Trinity” of Buenos Aires, continues to fulfill this mission for 93 years with the Armenian people and the community that surrounds
