#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020. Sponsor one of the levels below, in honor of AMAA’S MOTHER’S DAY VIRTUAL ZUMBA by May, 5, and receive a beautiful gift just in time for Mother’s Day along with the ZOOM Meeting ID to join a fun Zumba workout led by Talin Avakian, active member and leader of a weekly Zumba Ministry at the Armenian Evangelical Church of New York (AECNYC).
Partial proceeds from this event will buy meals from struggling small restaurants for First Responders and Food Banks, support small businesses, while the rest will contribute to alleviate the financial hardships caused by the outbreak, acquisition of medical supplies, access to health and social support services, and other unforeseen consequences the outbreak may cause.

Zumba Instructor’s Involvement With Armenian Evangelical Churches:
“I was born in Worcester, MA and grew up in the Armenian Church of the Martyrs. Once I came of age, I got involved in youth group led by the late Badveli Ara Jizmejian and his wife Sylvia, who also introduced me to other ministries like Camp Arevelk and AEYF. After years of being a youth member, I joined leadership and served for 4+ years as an exec member on the AEYF committee, planning the 10-12 regional conferences and events year round for the eastern region. Fast forward to getting married in 2017 (to my husband whom I met through Camp Arevelk), and moving to New York, where I am an active member at AECNYC, leading a weekly Zumba ministry: where I welcome all and strive to provide a safe space for people to feel free and confident through dance expression and movement.” –Talin Avakian
